As I close my eyes and feel the passion
I reach for a thought and hold it between layers of glass and paper

A sonnet played without mistake
a flury of words to make us quake

Be still my beating heart
for the thought of you quickens every beat of emotion

The night we made love in the rain
Was the moment I knew my love was no longer in vain

My soul needs your existence to move in the elements
My body wants to surrender her enclosed rapture

My breathe is spun in forces of tune

not a sonnet, not a song
but a circle of emotions
set to a heart thats beat and is strong
For you a message
not sent in a bottle
to be found in a distant time
but a letter speaking of love
words typed, but not well written

and you were there
a hand held out
to show tenderness and care
A deliverance of kind
to be felt and believed
coming full circle i now can find
you there without question of faith
space, time, distance all confine our plate
to write you this message is based upon my faith
i trust you, love you and want your for my own

Her Freedom

As the blank page lay naked as the day of its creation
a soul who was embarking on a quest for her freedom stood at her
threshold

to cross, to write her own story a dream many would envy
a new beginning, a dawn, her Genesis

how the blank page stared hard
its fine linen threads woven so perfectly
to scratch a thought, a dream across it almost seemed sacrilege

freedom meant writing her own sonnet
preforming her own play
brushing her own canvas
sketching her own portrait
and there was one who wanted her to have that gift

freedom as those before her cried
was not free, but bought with a price
many etched in their own blood as they

A Wishing Star

Upon a fortnight not so long ago
A wondering star came drifting down from the heavens above
The star spoke a name, a name that was gifted
A blest name of someone, a being filled with longing to be accepted unconditionally by another.
As the vision was revealed to me that star filled night of infinite beauty
The image of a man took form and reached out for me
A man who was gentle, kind and true
A man named beloved, by the one who loved him as he was...perfect and enough to walk alongside.
Known revealings are seldom dreamed
Fewer far still are tried and embraced
A one in a billion perhaps this was
Who was to say…who

I really have become quite fond Dusting Faries myself. I have several shots of the plant... some seem to speak bolder of faries flying about, but I like the clarity of this one better. Thanks Rik for always being a positive force in the world.
